Our Boat
We run a Sportcraft 270 Fishmaster. It is 27 foot in length that accommodates the party you want safely. It hold 6 paying customers and 2 crew members. We get asked alot about the name of the boat. It is Sir Lugnut. For the past 14 years i had a Ole English Bulldog and his name was Lugnut. In January of 2025 he passed away from old age. That's where both names came into play. I wanted to do something in memory of him so I thought it was fitting to have the boat named after him.
Our Story
Hello my name is Steve Scaife Jr. I am the Captain of Bulldog Fishing Charters out of Erie, Pa. I am very much a avid fisherman and have been for many years. We own a Bait and Tackle Shop in Central Pa also. I have all USCG Licensing for the charter industry and pride myself in keeping the safety of the crew as a number 1 priority.
We are one of the only charter boats to have a fully stocked medical emergency bag. This includes having AED machine on board at all times. You can never expect the unexpected so we try to be as prepared as we can in case of a emergency situation. I am 36 Years old so I'm one of the youngest captains in the lake. I look forward to meeting you along with your crew on the Sir Lugnut.
